Pacasmayo, Peru - About the Photos

I had a lot of fun taking the photos I did in Peru. Sorting through the 1100+ exposures I took in Pacasmayo wound up being a much bigger task than I anticipated, and there is even that could be done, but I think that what is here accomplishes what I set out to do: come up with a high-quality presentation of some neat photos. Hopefully you get as much enjoyment out of viewing them as I did taking them. Let me know what you think and how I can improve my photography!

In addition to all the usual camera equipment, I couldn't have taken this many photos without the help of the CompactDrive PD70X photo tank. The majority of the photo organizing and editing was done with Adobe Lightroom, with other programs assisting with the HDR images and panorama. In particular, Hugin was essential, as it is the only assemblage of panorama tools that can handle HDR images.

I also took about ten hours of video footage in Pacasmayo that will get turned into a short movie, hopefully by early next year. To find out when that is released, please subscribe to my web log. Before I met the Maranatha volunteers for the mission project, I also spent ten days travelling around Peru, taking another 1500 photos and a few hours of video. If you have an interest in having these photos available online, if you would like to get hold of more of the photos I took, or if you have a suggestion for other creative projects I'd find interesting (paying or not), please get in touch with me.
