The purpose of this FAQ is to inform people I know about changes that I've made in 2006, and give some answers about "where next".

What's the status of your employment at Red Hat?: After taking a leave of absence from Red Hat from August through November of 2006, I'm working for Lulu.
Does leaving Red Hat mean you hate open source?: No. The more I experience closed source software, the more grateful I am that I have been part of the open source movement from the early days. Although my day-to-day involvement as an open source developer will be reduced for the forseeable future, I may even get back to open source coding again if the urge should strike.
